What is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)?
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), previously known as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that commonly affects children and teens and can continue into adulthood.

The exact cause of ADHD isn’t known. However, researchers say that several factors may lead to it, including heredity, brain changes, chemical imbalance, toxins (i.e. lead), brain injury, and poor nutrition and substance abuse during pregnancy.

What are the symptoms of ADHD?
Individuals with ADHD may present with the following symptoms:
